Cost of allopurinol
I just started taking allopurinol 300mg at a cost of USD$ 19.68. for a quantity of 30 pills. It is the generic form called mylan. Is this to expensive? I saw some at costco for much cheaper like around $9.00.

Here in Canada I get mine at Hy And Zells..one of those big disounthouses..dispensing fee..$.4.59 plus the pills.Total $13.49 for 100pills.

I just got another 3 months supply (90 pills) of the 300mg for $18bucks at Randalls. I think there are some cheaper drug stores but it’smost convenient for me. Sounds like your gettin robbed!

I’m about to bite the bullet and go on allopurinol. I’ve resisted upuntil now because of the “forever” issue. I also have high bloodpressure and have been advised to go on meds to control that.
Does anyone have any experience with the effect of allopurinol onhigh bllod pressure ?
My only thought here is the starting of both meds at the same time orwaiting to see the effect of allopurinol on the high bllod pressure.I do know to avoid direuretic type high blood pressure meds.
Any input is appreciated .

I have High Blood pressure and am on Allopurinol. In fact I am on 2 different Blood Pressure medications. I am a Diabetic and take 2 different meds for that as well. I am on Lipitor as well. I have no problems with the mixture of these meds.
