Tophi. anyone else here got
My gout has been so persistent and severe that I have developedtophi (hard mineralized nodules). They have manifested as hardbersa in both elbows, several “nodes” along my left wrist, a node onmy left ear, and nodes on several knuckles. These things areexcessively sensitive to cold, and serve as focal points forblistering inflammation whenever I have an “attack”.
My question is: With treatment to lower serum uric acid levels,will the tophi eventually dissolve and disappear? Or can they onlybe surgically removed?
I have yet to find a doctor (or any source for that matter) who cananswer that question with any certainty.

I have had tophi come THROUGH the skin..allopurinol can take 1-3years..as long as 10 years.The deposits may leave..they may have tobe removed..ONE thing is for sure..no uric acid lowerring drugs..theyain’t goin’ nowhere..

I base my knowledge of gout by sifting/sorting through a HUGEpile of information.Read,discussed/emailed/posted with legitimateexperts/accredited in their respective fields.AS WELL as just aboutevery other kind of cure/fix..old wives tales,biblical stuffetc.,etc., Knowledge of gout and treatments goes back to at least 500BC. It wasn’t actually until the 1950’s that they figured out whatthe real problem was.And a way to deal with it..allopurinol.In the1960’s. Since then(although there are some new drugs due out in a fewyears)there has been nothing.NOTHING new anyway. Quick/fake/snake-oil cures are nothing new..these cures amount toan industry literally worth 10’s..TENS of billions of dollars peryear in the arthritis industry.
I gotta admit I have never heard of your product..not that Idoubt you or it’s claims..BUT I have chased down a lot of this kindof stuff over the years.Not uncommon are people that tout it..areselling it..or have some sort of a link to it.Then of course thereare those that very quickly get found out that they don’t have gout.
Personally I have a long bona fide history ofgout..Dr’s/specialists,pain,prescriptions,blood tests,allopurinol andthe resulting lowerred uric acid levels.And I know/have seenothers..read of this.
I have indeed in the past lashed out at people,evenmanufacturers..WANTING to,see concrete proof..pointing them toEXPERTS..medical authorities..of which there are many.Thesepeople/institutions would give their eye teeth for these cures.
Right now there is pretty much only allopurinol..the lowerring ofoverall uric acid levels..leading to the HOPEFUL removal ofdeposits.Some must be surgically removed,others can not be removed.
The problem with gout overall as a disease is that it almostALWAYS goes away on it’s own in a few weeks..attack phases anyway..sothat a person sufferring is in the midst of the attack leaving..theystart taking something..and it goes away..they credit the whateverthey took..and keep taking it.Almost ALWAYS the attacks comeback..ALMOST always MORE FURIOUS..I get email ALL the time about howit worked before why doesn’t it work now..WHAT CAN I DO NOW??..DR’Ssay the joint is permanently damaged how can I fix that?
I honestly don’t know if your product works or not..like I said Ihave not heard of it..I KNOW that one day there will be betterways/medicines.Of course.
As of the most recent information that I have the only way toremove uric acid deposits is with allopurinol/surgery.
NO I am not going to pester anyone by asking about this product.THAT is the job of the proponents of it.THEY can approach the propermedical authorities for testing,accreditting it.
THEN one day I can read about a new cure!..
I did happen to gloss over some cure for something the other dayon a respected medical website..it went in one ear and out theother.THEN later in the thread a medical expert chimed in and saidthis stuff was poison..and to never,ever take it..
People can take whatever they want..do their ownhomework/research..I wish EVERYONE/ANYONE!! the best of luck indealing with gout..hOWEVER they do it!!
I just wish more people would post/email..go to anaccepted/accredited medical expert with gout problems..have thisdocumented..uric acid levels etc…do whatever they do..THEN repostthe documented information.
I did it..I get copies of all the blood tests I had..AND theresults..it is pretty black and white..reduction of uric acid levels..
