Cherry juice

I had some relief from my recent gout attack bydrinking cherry juice. I bought it in a concentratedliquid form (100% cherry juice), and diluted it withSpring Water to make it palpable. I drank threeglasses of it a day. I don’t know if it would be aseffective in pill form (I take it you got it in pillsfrom Vitamin.com?). Most health food stores carry thecherry concentrate, which I have read is the best wayto ingest it for relief from gout.

Diane, I too have been experimenting with cherry juice. At lst, Ibought the 100% cherry juice (I don’t think its concentrated), thenmy grocery ran out (small town) & I decided to try a cranberry/cherrymixture, having heard someone else say cranberries seemed to help too.It is cartainly more palatable than either Cherry or Cranberry juicealone, (one too tart, the other too sweet) & I found myself morewilling to drink it. Don’t know yet if its effective. Will let youknow. The straight cherry juice seemed to help when I could choke itdown (tasted like prune juice). What HAS seemed to help is a driedfruit mix of white raisins & cherries. Quite tasty, easy to eat &takewith you for a snack, & much cheaper than fresh cherries, if you canfind them.

We have found a supplier of pure organic cherry juice in the UK and, in caseanyone has found difficulty in locating a source it is stocked by the GeneralNutrition Centres (GNC), who, I imagine are some sort of chain throughoutthe UK. It’s pricey but if it does the trick…..great !I now have a question about the recommended doseage of cherry juice…..cananyone advise on this, please ?
