It appears to be a rather expensive herbal product for which claimsare made but unsubstantiated and the ingredients undisclosed.

Reducing uric acid crystals is done by altering the pH level of theserum or synovial fluid because that is what affects when a saturatedsolution will precipitate crystals.

I doubt the product is harmful, however.

Never heart of it. Is it a new product?

I have tried this Gout Cure, and Iused to think it worked, but now I’m not so sure. Maybe it helpswith a mild attack, but you have to keep poppin’ ‘em. For me,nothing works better to relieve pain than Indomethacin. Period.

I have been suffering with the gout for about 10 years, and even tothis day, I can’t even say what really causes it–except for theAtkins Diet and weight loss (and I’ve cut alcohol by about 2/3s mynormal intake!). But I digress. Gout Cure might be worth a try,but if you aren’t getting results from one bottle, don’t buy anymore of it.

I really do wonder why the quack remedies go on and on.

There is a cure for gout and it is called allopurinol.

It isn’t snake oil and it isn’t some mixture of rats tails andpuppydog tails.

    It works.

It works all the time and unless your body has an alergic reactionto it, there is no good reason why you should not be on it.

Gout for 10 years and you are not on allopurinol????

Your physician should be sued for pain and suffering.

    ALLOPURINOL

TAke it and get rid of your gout!!!

I realize it was ten years ago, butcould you give us details as to:How much weight did you loseOver what period of timeWith what average water intakeWhat specifically did you at the timeconsider “The Atkin’s Diet” to consist of?

I am just now starting Allopurinol. I have avoided it because I wasconcerned about having to take a drug every day over the long term.I was hoping that I could just some how be one of those people whowouldn’t get attacks again, but, it seems like every year I get onereally BIG attack that might even cause me to lose a couple days ofwork. Anything I tried didn’t really do the trick. Gout cure, cherries (although I love ‘em), changing diet, avoiding alcohol(which has helped the least)–all of these things haven’t done whatI want: No more gout attacks.

I am beginning Allopurinol literally tomorrow (10-22-03). I amhopeful that I will not get another attack.

I wasn’t on the Atkin’s Diet until very recently. About five yearsago, I lost about 10 pounds, but that weight loss was due to a lotof increased activity without much change in diet. I have beendoing something very close to Atkins (strict 2-week induction)followed by very limited carb intake. I have lost only about 6pounds in a month, but that seems to have triggered my latestattack; I can think of nothing else. Once I can get the pain out ofmy ankle and elbow, I will be excercising more, and I think that Iwill start losing the weight I want (about 25 lbs.–I’m about 190 @5′ 8″).

If you take something like this and expect that it will have apositive effect on your gout I might say that you deserve what youget but that is unkind and vindictive. I don’t think you deserve tohave a crippling deformation of your joints just because you were toostubborn to take the known cure or, as I know does happen, yourphysician is reluctant to perscribe what is known to cure gout in100% of the cases where it is taken. The cure is allopurinol.

You don’t need to resort to vodo, or to magic or to some obscureimmune enhancement therapy to treat your gout. They won’t work andyou will be putting off the inevetible conclusion you and your doctorwill come to which is that you need to go on allopurinol.

Gout is not something that you recover from. You don’t take a pillone day and get cured. It does not work like that. If you have gout, you have a metabolic problem and you do not get rid of enough uricacid if your body is left to its own devices. You can stretch outthe crisis by drinking more water and by altering your diet but snakeoil, dancing in the moon light and immune enhancement therapy willhave absolutely no effect on your gout whatsoever.

These people present no clinical evidence, they only provideanecdotal stories about how gout went away and guess what-gout alwaysgoes away. Live with it for two weeks and be good with the water anddon’t eat the shell fish and yes, indeed, your gout will go away. Ifyou happened to take that junk they are selling in the meantime doesit mean that it made your gout go away.

    No it does not.
