I also added black cherry extract to my diet for a while, along with atwice a day supplement that was intended to help with gout that includedcelery seed extract and some other things I don't recall, and a coupleof liters of water a day.  And this combination was helpful for me.  Ican't say which was the most efficacious, but I suspect the water wasthe key ingredient.  Either way, I am a big proponent of simple naturalapproaches first.

If gout is chronic for someone, and these natural approaches haven'thelped, then I've heard allopurinol becomes pretty much mandatory, toavoid damaging the joint permanently.  This seems reasonable to me.

There are other supporters of natural approaches on this list too.We're just a little more quiet than some. ;) (can't believe I saidthat!)</description>
