Allopurinol and drowsiness ?
My Doc just increased my allo from 300 to 400 a week ago. I seem tobe tired a lot since then. Anyone ever have that happen ?

I was taking 300 mg once a day and it made me very tired. I now take it 100 mg three times a day. This took care of being tired.

Thanks for the info. I wake up feeling fine, take the allo at 9 am,and I get tired around 11 am. I think I will try gradualy pushingthe allo dosage time back to beditme. I believe in the long termbenefits of allo.

Drowsiness is a stated side effect of allo. The large amounts of waterare to prevent the formation of kidney stones.
