Bruises and allopurinol
I’m taking 300mg of allopurinol, if I bruise my wrist. Will thebruise start a gout attack? Do I continue to take the allopurinol orlet the bruise heal, before resuming the medication?

Never a “good” idea to start tinkerring with the allo..keeeeeep ontakin’ it.
There are 2 schools of thought on the gout and injury thing..somesay that a previouslly injured area is ripe for crystal “attachment”.(attraction?)..and the crystals and their mess will set up shopthere..others say that the conditions there..very high uric acidconcentration/crystals/deposits were just an accident waiting tohappen(for whatever reason they ended up there)..all the injury didwas to call white blood cells into play and ONCE THERE they beganstarting the “War” with the crystals..
