There isn't a SHRED of actual accredited/respected medical orscientific evidence that cherries/juice/extract does ANYTHING forgout sufferers other than to line the pockets of those that sell it.

There used to be the THEORY that the tartness alterred the ph..yaright..NOT for long as the body adjusted it back real quick.

Then came the flavonoid(that is in a lot of related berries) theory.

Onto the enzyme theory that cherries would replace the missingenzyme?? in gout sufferers.Sure..nice cross over..plant to humanenzyme.

I think that the lowerring of uric acid levels is still touted(quercitin content).Last time I did any research on it/talked/emailedmnfrs. that sold it in various forms.Sure..if someone is dehydratedbadly (BAD! for gout sufferers)..their uric acid level willrise.Cherries/juice will lower it..EXACTLY THE SAME AS WATER..or anyother liquid/fruit/food high water content.

I HAVE!!! been down that sorry ass cherry nonsense road.
